These terms are organised around website access, venue conduct, card-lounge participation, private gatherings, recorded material, content use and legal boundaries. Use the section links below to move directly to a topic. The headings are included for readability and do not limit the meaning or application of the terms.

Website terms

Scope, website use and enquiries

1.1

Scope and acceptance. These terms apply when you browse the Ember & Linen website, correspond with the venue, send an enquiry or attend the venue. By continuing to use the website or engaging with Ember & Linen in those ways, you agree to act consistently with these terms. If you do not accept them, please discontinue use of the website and do not proceed with an enquiry or venue engagement. These terms are intended to support a clear, respectful relationship between the venue and its visitors.

1.2

Website access and accuracy. This website is provided as a venue-information resource. Its content may change as Ember & Linen’s service, menu, hosted formats and practical information evolve. Please use the site lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, security or access by others. We do not promise that the site will always be available without interruption. Where a venue detail is time-sensitive or important to your visit, please verify it directly with Ember & Linen before relying on it.

1.3

Enquiries and submitted information. When you contact Ember & Linen, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and current. Do not submit material that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringes another person’s rights. An enquiry is a request for communication only and does not itself confirm a venue arrangement. Questions about how personal information is handled should be directed to our Privacy Policy, which describes that subject separately.

Venue conduct

Venue attendance and conduct

2.1

Respectful attendance. Ember & Linen is an intimate, shared room designed for measured conversation and attentive service. Guests are expected to treat other guests, staff and the venue environment with consideration. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or disruptive conduct is not accepted. If behaviour affects the safety, comfort or ordinary running of the venue, staff may respond in a way that is reasonable for the circumstances. We ask each guest to help maintain the calm, welcoming atmosphere intended for everyone in the room.

2.2

Care for the room. Please treat furnishings, table settings, cards, poker tables and other physical elements of Ember & Linen with care. Guests must not alter, remove, damage or misuse venue property. Reasonable staff instructions about the use of the room, tables or shared materials should be followed. These details are part of a hosted setting intended to be enjoyed in place, with consideration for the people using the room before and after you.

2.3

Service, access and safety. Ember & Linen may manage access to areas, hosted events and seating arrangements to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Please follow reasonable staff directions concerning safety, capacity, service flow and respectful use of the room. Those directions are part of the venue’s practical stewardship of a shared physical space. They are intended to help service proceed thoughtfully and to preserve the ease, attention and discretion of the visit for all present.

Hosted formats

Card lounge and poker evenings

The card lounge is an in-person Ember & Linen setting. Our poker evenings are hosted physical table experiences: offline poker held at poker tables within the room, guided by venue etiquette and reasonable staff direction.

3.1

Hosted offline format. The card lounge and poker evenings are part of Ember & Linen’s physical venue experience. Poker tables, cards and chips are tabletop details within a hosted room setting, and their use remains subject to staff direction and venue etiquette. Guests are expected to participate with care for the shared environment and for the people around the table. This offline poker format is built around present, respectful table company rather than digital activity or remote participation.

3.2

Texas Hold’em table etiquette. Guests joining a hosted Texas Hold’em table should follow the host’s directions, take turns respectfully and keep conversation considerate. Please avoid conduct that interrupts the shared table, distracts another participant or makes the setting uncomfortable for others. Cards and chips should remain physical tabletop details handled with care. The host may provide practical guidance about the table’s rhythm, seating or pauses so that the experience remains orderly, attentive and comfortable for everyone present.

3.3

Room etiquette

Attention and devices. The lounge is intended to support an attentive, offline atmosphere. Guests should follow any reasonable house direction concerning devices, recording or disturbance at a table. Such direction may be given to protect comfort, concentration and the shared presence of the room. We do not impose assumptions beyond the circumstances of a particular evening; instead, we ask guests to respond thoughtfully to the host and staff when a practical request is made.

3.4

Host authority and participation. Hosts and staff may guide table seating, pacing, participation and breaks to preserve a respectful, well-run card lounge environment. Guests are expected to follow reasonable instructions given for that purpose. Where conduct materially disrupts the room or conflicts with these terms, Ember & Linen may pause or end a guest’s participation in a poker evening. Any such step will be approached as a practical measure to protect the comfort and shared experience of the table.

Gatherings and recording

Private gatherings and recorded content

4.1

Private gathering responsibility. A person coordinating a private gathering should communicate relevant venue information to invited guests and support respectful conduct throughout the visit. The venue conduct terms apply to every attendee in the gathering. Room use, timing and service flow remain subject to reasonable staff direction so the venue can care for the gathering and the wider room. Coordinators are encouraged to make space for those directions and to help guests understand the considered, shared nature of the environment.

4.2

Recording and privacy

Photography and recorded material. Please respect the privacy and comfort of others when taking photographs or recordings. Guests must comply with reasonable staff direction in dining spaces, private gatherings, the card lounge and poker evenings. Do not record another person in a way that is intrusive, misleading or contrary to applicable law. The room’s atmosphere depends on discretion and attention, so we ask guests to consider whether an image or recording could affect another person before making or sharing it.

Published material

Website and brand material

5.1

Website and brand material. Website text, photography, design and Ember & Linen branding are protected material. They may not be copied, altered, republished or used without permission, except where applicable law permits. Where relevant, third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners. If you would like to request permission to use material associated with Ember & Linen, please contact the venue through the Contact Us page so your request can be considered in context.

6.1
